VOICES FROM NAIJA

So many voices aloud, crying for garri,
Some for tuwo, even the cheap amala,
Has suddenly grown wings and fly so high.

Voices of so many orphans roaming,
Our streets hungry in search of bread,
While their custodians grow fat everyday.

Open your ears carefully and listen, many
Widows are sobbing silently in pains,
Their rights taken away by mortals.

Voices from NAIJA -so many voices of,
Bodies without work, those with work,
Striving daily as slaves.

Voices of so many fathers, our mothers,
Little sisters, friends and brothers and
Many of our wives, including the grey hairs.
